DREW MCGUNN
Alternate history. LitRPG. One more turn.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Drew McGunn writes the kind of books he couldn't find on the shelf.
A sixth-generation Texan, he spent years in the corporate grind before the stories in his head got loud enough to do something about. The result: seven volumes of the Lone Star Reloaded series — alternate history that reimagines the founding of the Republic of Texas with the rigor of a historian and the pacing of a man who really, really wants you to turn the page.
More recently he's gone a different direction entirely with The System Integration Chronicles, a LitRPG apocalypse series about what happens when modern humanity collides with a game system that doesn't grade on a curve.
He lives in Texas with his wife, who tolerates the hours. When he's not writing, he's at a historical site, inside someone else's novel, or losing an evening to "just one more turn."

WHAT READERS ARE SAYING
"McGunn knows enough about history and the Texas Revolution to not only push history into fiction, but make some true points as well. I didn't think I'd like this book, but it drew me in so much that I'll read the next one in the series."
— John Walker, on Forget the Alamo!
"I liked this book. I really liked this book. It's grim in parts — if you're looking for a feel-good story, this ain't it. But if you're looking for a gritty LitRPG novel, this is perfect for you. Highly recommended."
— James Riley, on A Hard Reset
